Breast Cancer – Prevention And Cure

Breast Cancer – Prevention And Cure

Breast cancer, the growth of malignant cells in the breast, is the most common cancer among women. It is rare but does occur in men breast cancer usually originates in the milk carrying ducts, although it may arise in the milk producing lobules or, more rarely, in the dense connective tissue of the breast. A breast tumor is not in itself life threatening, but there is a high risk that the cancer will spread to other organs via the lymph nodes or the bloodstream, so early detection is imperative. In 90 percent of cases, only one breast is affected, although those who have had cancer in one breast are at increased risk of eventually developing it in the other. In all cases, early detection treatment and cure improve the outlook significantly.

Prevention and cure varies also depending on the choice of the patient whether conventional or alternative cure.

To be more balance we have to view first the conventional prevention:

Mammograms can detect tumors too small to feel. Women over 50 should have annual mammograms, and those between ages 40 and 50 should discuss their individual risk factors with their doctors to determine when to begin mammography. The exam should be performed by a radiologist specializing in mammography or by a mammography center accredited by the American college of radiology. A list of accredited centers is available from the National cancer institute at 1-800-4 cancer. Women should perform monthly breast exams the best time is two or three days after menstruation ends). Breast tissue is normally somewhat lumpy and uneven, so it is important to become familiar with the normal contour and texture of the breasts. Changes in texture and appearance will then become more easily detectable. Regular exercise and maintaining weight can decrease risk of postmenopausal breast cancer. Women who are at increased risk of breast cancer may benefit from chemoprevention, which involves tamoxifen therapy for 5years. The decision to undergo chemo prevention, should be made after discussing individual risks and benefits with a physician. Women with a strong family history of breast cancer may consider undergoing genetic testing for one of the breast cancer genes, women who test positive may undergo increased surveillance for both breast and ovarian cancer or consider preventative removal of their breast or ovaries.

Now the cure and treatment:

Breast Cancer 101: Risk Factors and Alternative Cure

Breast cancer is one of the most dreaded diseases among women. It plays second fiddle only to lung cancer as the top killer of women in the United States and the rest of the world. And since the 1970s, recorded cases of the disease have continuously increased at an alarming rate. Breast cancer can also happen to men, albeit rarely; around 12,000 American men contract this disease every year.

Despite the nasty reputation of breast cancer, doctors have yet to find out the real causes of the disease. Right now, experts believe that cancer cells in the breasts develop as a result of a combination of risk factors. Nonetheless, doctors are sure that bumping or accidentally hurting your breasts can not trigger cancer.

Many studies confirm that certain elements may put a woman in an increased susceptibility to breast cancer. Women with one or all of these risk elements may be more imperiled than other women who are free from such factors. Here are the determinants of breast cancer to watch out for.

Age

Your likelihood of having this type of disease increases as you become older. Statistically speaking, most breast cancer patients are women who are at least in their 60s. In fact before the menopausal stage, this disease may be considered extraordinary even for women.

Personal And Family History

If one of your breasts has cancer or if you had breast cancer before, your risk of having cancer on your other breast is greatly increased. In fact, the likelihood of having breast cancer under these circumstances may have quadrupled.

In the same manner, if someone in your family has been afflicted with this disease, you may be more prone to getting breast cancer. If your mother, your sister or even your child has been stricken down with this disease, you have to be careful because your risk can be higher than other women. Heredity plays a significant role in the development of this type of cancer.

Habits And Lifestyle

If you do not have close relatives who suffered from breast cancer, it does not mean that you are guaranteed to be free from getting the disease. Your habits and lifestyle can also contribute to the occurrence of cancer cells in your breasts. Women who smoke and are addicted to alcohol, for instance, have increased chances of suffering the disease. Obesity and use of contraceptive pills and hormone replacement therapy can also support the growth of cancerous tissues in the breasts.

Ways To Deal With Cancer

Breast Cancer, Effective Treatments That Cure

Breast cancer, one of the most feared diseases that most women are terrified of. From all the media attention it receives today one would think that progress is being made in finding a cure, but unfortunately the opposite is true as the breast cancer rates are still climbing.

The main reason why it’s still increasing is that we don’t have prevention when all the causes of breast cancer are now well known.  Also the reason why we don’t have a cure for it is because the treatments today are very profitable even though they are not very effective.

Today’s treatments focus on the cancer growths which does not actually do anything to help the patient regain the level of health they need to keep the cancer from coming back again. It is much more important to focus on the prime reason why the cancer first grew, that is, what caused it to grow in the first place and address those facts.

The well known slogan which tells woman that early detection will lead to a cure is a myth! Early detection is beneficial only to the breast cancer industry through their statistics. If they can detect breast cancer early, the meter that measures the 5 year survival cycle starts running earlier and the earlier it is detected, the better the chance of passing that critical 5 years period. Also early detection slogans helps recruit woman into the breast cancer industry.

The causes of breast cancer have been well known for many years and there is a cure for the disease. It is very simple, remove all the known factors that have caused it and with the amazing self healing powers of the human body, which we all have, it will remove the cancer naturally and permanently and without any side effects.

What our medical system is doing is looking for complex answers to a simple problem. Breast cancer does not need aggressive toxic treatments that can damage the body. To cure breast cancer one only needs to respect the laws of Mother Nature by living as we are supposed to and especially eating the foods we have been designed to eat and they are freshly grown fruit and vegetables.

Breast cancer is caused by the way we live with our high consumption of processed foods, most of which have a high proportion of fat, salt or refined sugar, all known contributing factors to cancer. Also processed foods are all old food and are nutritionally dead foods. Some other causative factors for breast cancer are diets high in animal products, the consumption of alcohol everyday and the use of hormone therapy.

Our sedentary lifestyle has a big influence on why there is so much breast cancer. The car is mostly responsible for our lack of exercise and then there is the television set which doesn’t exactly encourage exercise either. These days we surround ourselves with labour saving devices, none of which helps the human body get the exercise it so badly needs. The reason we need exercise is that our immune system, which is our all important built-in repair system, needs muscular activity to allow it to function properly.
